Terms of Service — Signal Intelligence

Last updated: 27 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of signalintelligence.tech (the “Site”), operated by Signal Intelligence (Pty) Ltd. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Signal Intelligence is

Signal Intelligence provides AI-assisted, multi-source summaries and analysis of technology, AI, ESG, and related developments, with a focus on relevance to Africa and South Africa. Content includes original analysis by our editorial process alongside AI-generated summarisation, always attributed and linked back to original sources where applicable.

2. Not professional advice

Content on the Site — including but not limited to the Today, Local, Funding, ESG, Ask AI, and Careers sections — is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, or other professional advice. You should not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional before making any decision. This applies with particular force to:

  • Ask AI responses, which are AI-generated and may be incomplete or inaccurate, including on legal and regulatory questions.
  • ESG company profiles and AI-drafted disclosure report content, which must be independently reviewed by a qualified professional before any reliance, filing, or publication.
  • Careers content, which offers general commentary and is not a substitute for individual career or professional advice.

3. AI-generated content

Some content on the Site is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence, drawing on information from third-party sources. While we apply editorial and technical safeguards, AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Site.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
  • Scrape, mass-download, or systematically extract content from the Site for republication, redistribution, or to train a competing AI model or product.
  • Misrepresent Site content as your own original work.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Site or its underlying systems.
  • Use any automated means to submit prompts to Ask AI at a volume or in a manner intended to extract, replicate, or reverse-engineer the underlying system.

5. Intellectual property

  • The Signal Intelligence name, logo, and original editorial analysis are the property of Signal Intelligence (Pty) Ltd and may not be reproduced without permission, other than for personal, non-commercial reference with attribution.
  • Summaries link back to and attribute the original third-party sources they draw on; rights in that original source content remain with the respective publishers.
  • If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us at signal@hovholdings.com with details, and we will review and respond.

6. Accounts (future)

Certain features are designed to require an account (e.g. saving ESG company tracking, generating reports). If and when account creation is enabled, additional terms specific to account use, including data handling under our Privacy Policy, will apply and this section will be updated accordingly.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Site available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, including specific features, at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signal Intelligence (Pty) Ltd and its directors, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content, including but not limited to decisions made in reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Signal Intelligence (Pty) Ltd against any claim, loss, or liability arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The courts of KwaZulu-Natal shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
